Slopes and retaining walls

Soil reinforcement that lets embankments, cuttings and walls stand steeper than the soil could on its own.

Layers of high-strength geogrid laid between compacted fill hold the soil together and carry the lateral load that would otherwise push a wall or steep slope outward. Facing options range from wrap-around geotextile and vegetated faces to modular blocks and gabions.

This approach can replace tall concrete walls, reduce the land needed for embankments and speed up construction. Geocells and geotextiles add surface protection and drainage behind the face.
